Our mission is to inform the entire Culver City Community about issues in the Culver City Unified School District
The district is struggling financially — what are the details and the implications?
The district’s reserves are projected to drop below the state required 3% this coming year. It had to file a “qualified” financial report with the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE)
The district has asked the city of Culver City to help it out by giving $2.5 million annually to the district for three years.
A consultant for the city prepared an report and analysis of the district’s situation.
Other important issues this year:
Restoring honors English in the 9th and 10th grades
Prioritizing the high school in infrastructure planning
